Rarity = Bee+ Manuka honey is down to the location - the world’s most unique climate and geography create the highest density of Manuka forests in the world. Bee+ has exclusive access to the natural Manuka forest located in the Wairarapa, a region in the North Island of New Zealand. Rarity = Bee+ prides itself on obtaining the highest quality Manuka honey from the natural Manuka forests of New Zealand’s North Island. The temperate climate, and mineral-rich soil with an optimal pH of 4.5-5.5 houses the world’s highest density of Manuka forest of 2,265 hectares and up to 1 million trees. Rarity = Bee+ only harvests honey during the Manuka rare flowering period. The annual flowering period of Manuka trees occurs over 2-6 weeks between November and December. Bee+ workers concentrate on collecting honey during this period when the Manuka flower bud contains the most concentrated nectar.
